Electronic Government Department
I.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Electronic Government Department is the central digital unit of the EEA, responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of all electronic government and digital process management services.
It provides services for registration, digital document handling, electronic signatures, financial and accounting systems, payroll, attendance records, and technical user support through ticketing.
The Department supports the Center’s transition to digital processes, ensures data security, and collaborates with national systems and services to integrate infrastructure and improve administrative work.
Key responsibilities include:
- E-government strategy: Monitoring developments in electronic government technologies and proposal of ways to exploit existing capabilities.
- Planning and implementation of actions: Drafting plans and implementing e-government projects in collaboration with the Development and Network Operations Department, based on a holistic approach and recognized best practices, as well as managing services throughout their life cycle.
- Service operation and support: Responsibility for the daily operation of e-government services and user support/training in collaboration with the Technical Support Department (electronic filing, digital document management and circulation, digital signatures, transparency, accounting/financial applications, payroll, time tracking, ticketing, personnel systems, automatic folders for administrative bodies).
- Security, quality, and technological development: Ensuring data security and confidentiality, collaboration with the Public Revenue Service to improve processes, integration of modern technological solutions and international best practices, use of open source software, and provision for the integration of systems within the EEA and with public administration systems.
- Institutional cooperation and support: Cooperation with the respective national services on all e-government issues and contribution to the continuous improvement of the services provided.
