ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to maintenance work, the part of the tour that concerns the Doridis telescope will not take place in the next period. Instead, the public will have the opportunity to visit the Syngrou Meridian Telescope,which is located at the foot of the Hill of the Nymphs, while the observation - weather permitting - will be carried out via a portable telescope. The tour in the Museum of Geoastrophysics is taking place as usual.
Evening public tours for the English-speaking audience take place every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday as follow:
Arrival time: 20:45 - 21:30 and/or until the available seats are filled
Start time: 22:00.
Ticket Price: €5.00 (common price for adults/children)
Tour duration: ~70 min.
Description:
Evening public tours are provided to adults and children over the age of six. The tours include a visit at the museum of Geoastrophysics and a night observation (weather permitting). For the current period during which the Doridis telescope is out of operation, the observation will be carried out through a portable telescope.
Tickets are available at the entrance before the start of the tour, where visitors are served on a first-come, first-served basis until the available seats are filled. Telephone reservations for individual guests are not made except for organized groups of more than 10 people.

Important notes:
-Τhere is no cafeteria on the premises of the Thission Visitor's Center. So -especially during the summer season- the visitors should stock up on water before their arrival at the site.
-Smoking and possession/consumption of alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any area (indoor or outdoor) of the National Observatory.
-Visitors are only allowed to enter during the scheduled public night tours of the Thission Visitor Center.
