Human Resources & Administration Department<\/h2>\n

I. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

\nThe Human Resources & Administration Department is the central organizational unit of the National Observatory of Athens for personnel management,
\nsupport of administrative procedures, and implementation of the service and disciplinary framework.\n<\/p>\n

\nIt handles all matters relating to recruitment, employment status, and staff development, the issuance of administrative acts,
\ncompliance with the legislative framework, and the smooth operation of the Foundation’s collective bodies.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe Department supports all administrative and scientific units of the EEA by ensuring the proper implementation of procedures,
\ncompliance with staff rights and obligations, and the effective administrative functioning of the Foundation.\n<\/p>\n

Its responsibilities include :<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Employment status and administrative support for staff:<\/strong> Managing issues relating to recruitment, employment status, and contract staff; issuing certificates and attestations.\n
  • Issuing acts and setting up collective bodies:<\/strong> Issuing acts implementing Board decisions; setting up EAA working groups, councils, and committees.\n
  • Staff travel:<\/strong> Arranging domestic and international travel for all Center staff.\n
  • Work organization and process improvement:<\/strong> Study and recommendation of measures for modern work techniques, acceleration of administrative actions, increase in productivity, and simplification of bureaucratic procedures.\n
  • Human resources planning:<\/strong> Assessment and planning of the Center’s staffing needs; monitoring the implementation of measures to simplify administrative procedures.\n
  • Disciplinary procedures and rights:<\/strong> Implementation of the legislative framework for disciplinary procedures; compliance with the code of conduct; ensuring that staff rights and obligations are respected.\n
  • Electoral procedures:<\/strong> Ensures the formation and operation of the Board of Directors, the conduct of elections for Collective Bodies, and the conduct of elections and establishment of Scientific Councils for Institutes (SCI).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
