Technical Support Department<\/h2>\n

\u0399. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

The Technical Support Department continued to be a key operational area of the DYE, ensuring the operational continuity of all the EEA’s building, electromechanical, laboratory, and scientific infrastructure. <\/p>\n

It provided daily technical support to users and units of the Center, while keeping the technical file fully updated and monitoring energy consumption and safety issues.<\/p>\n

The Department’s operation contributed significantly to ensuring the smooth operation of the EEA’s facilities, as well as the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment in Penteli, Thissio, Chelmos, Kryoneri, and other facilities. <\/p>\n

Key responsibilities include :<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Building & E\/M facilities:<\/strong> Continuous monitoring, operation, and maintenance of all EAA facilities.\n
  • Laboratory maintenance:<\/strong> Support for electronics, optics, chemistry, calibration, and machine shops, as well as scientific\/technological equipment.\n
  • IT & equipment:<\/strong> Support for IT systems, peripherals, and definition of technical specifications and equipment requirements.\n
  • Technical archive:<\/strong> Updating and managing the digital and printed technical archive of all facilities.\n
  • Energy management:<\/strong> Monitoring energy consumption and contributing to energy optimization scenarios. <\/li>\n
  • Large infrastructures:<\/strong> Assistance in the operation of the Center’s facilities and large research infrastructures.\n
  • Physical network infrastructure:<\/strong> Support for the network and fiber optics in collaboration with the relevant departments. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
